Welcome to the Bustledress Purchasing Items from outside Sellers Page |

Dear Potential Seller,
First, (I mean this kindly...) but please let me implore some of you... if you are just "shopping" around for a price to put to a gown (or item) that you wish to sell to Bustledress... or, put said item on Ebay (or elsewhere) and you are just looking for "bids" (or the highest price paid for said item) or a free estimate by emailing every person on every vintage website online...instead of wasting everyone's valuable time, might I suggest just placing your item on eBay? And then sending everyone a selling link so you can be sure you are going to get the fair market price the market bears for your item? If you are still serious about pursing a transaction directly with me, then please move onto the next paragraph. | All said and you are a sincere seller, you should know I do often purchase separate items, estates and occasional lots of item groupings. On separate pieces, I'm pretty select on what I purchase these days as I'm not interested in items needing intense restoration- just not enough time anymore. I avoid items with shattering areas/ deep fabric fragility or torn or broken areas or deep, large stains, but will take on light mending (like seams). I purchase fine items dating between 1800-1920 and do rarely purchase plain white cotton clothing (like petticoats- just too many of them.) or plain black items (unless extremely fancy, or uncommon somehow.) Unusual annd beautiful is what I'm seeking. If this sounds like the types of item you have and are interested in dealing with me further, please send 300 DPI across or under 300K in compressed size or smaller photos (large, uncompressed photos take a long time to download, so please do not send uncompressed photos.) If your sending an image this size or larger, please crop to half this size and compress photos, please.
This size is the correct 300 DPI across (or smaller) (whatever length tall in the results would be fine.) thank you. Please add light corresponding descriptions (example: Blue painted 1868 leather boots, 9" long, 3" wide, signed by maker on inside, outside paint chipping off with dirty scuffs. Insides excellent condition.) An example for a bustle dress: Sky blue silk 1880 2 piece dress with silk lace and bustled train, with bust and waist measurements, with most emphasis on the concerns (rotting or stained armpits, fabric's weak allover, faded, stained/ dirty, holes, tears, fabric splitting, missing buttons/ torn buttonholes, off smells, mildew, melted or broken sequins, laces's tattered, been reShopd, sewn badly, etc...) this way I have a clearer idea of exactly what I'm actually looking at. Also, include your asking price for your piece (or items) as I will not come up with a price. | FYI, to make you aware up front, I only purchase upon approval or (if in Ca.) I could also pay you in person after items has been inspected. You can read the 'testimonials' page, 'About Us' and can also lookup my eBay name, "bonnet" where I sell items to the World market to see what glowing feedback others have written about dealing with me there. You will see a lot of words like "honest," "fair" and "fast transaction" written on these pages. Please remember, compress any photos to be sent to 300DPI or smaller across and UNDER 300k in compressed size before emailing!
Kindest regards, Lisa Schnapp |
