Bustledress.com Vintage ClothesHi there-, I'm Bustledress.com'sproprietress, Lisa Schnapp. In my spare time I'm traveling on a quest for Edwardian and Victorian objects de' elegance with my husband, Don. I've been selling antique clothing and vintage clothes professionally since 1985 (Has it been that long already?) and been selling online since '98. My favorite eras are the Victorian and Edwardian era, but I sell Regency through 1920's items, many of which have been featured in movies such as "Sea Biscuit, "Titanic" and "Henry and June." Many are made by famous vintage designers such as "Charles Worth," "Coco Chanel," and "Lady Duff Gordon" among others. Many of my finds are displayed in prominent museums such as the Phoenix Art Museum and The Russian Shoe Museum (among many others), B and B's, in conservationists and Antique Clothing aficionados collections, or even collected by reenactors. I'm also a professional photographer and hairstylist, a published writer of short stories and penning my first full length novel. (Been busy!) Also, I'm a co-founder of
"The Northern California Victorian Society"

Occasionally, I sell on Ebay, under the name "bonnet" (since 1998), and you can check out the glowing feedback many satisfied buyers have left. Read on to find out about the other sellers selling items here. If you are interested in selling an item directly, please email me. See my page on how I make my Victorian costumes.   Lisa Schnapp All

Hi, My name is Alethea Sayers. I have been making and selling historical costumes for the past seven years. I have been a Civil War reenactor for that same time, but quickly found a love for all other time eras and have sold my garments all over the world.

For the past several years, it has been my joy to work with an artist that paints the book covers for romance novels, such as Harlequin, Avon, Dell, etc., You have probably seen my dresses on paperback novels in the Shop, such as "The Pirates Bride," "The Flame and the Flower," "The Wolf and the Dove," among others...I incorporate vintage trims into my reproductions whenever possible, and often make custom Victorian costumes and Edwardian gowns on a grand scale, see some of my examples on Alethea's page here Alethea Sayers Sass Victorian Costumes
Please email me for more examples of my work or more information. Sincerly,

Bustledress.com Victorian Bustle Dress costumes My name is Brenda Kennedy (formerly Brenda Brown), of Miss Brenda's Clothiers. I have 30+ years of sewing experience. I love all types of sewing (except mending, of course!), but my passion lies in Victorian clothing. I'm an avid collector of paper doll books on the Victorian period and have a small library of books full of Victorian fashion plates from that time period. I love to find a fashion plate or photo of a Victorian dressed lady and challenge myself in duplicating it. If I'm not sewing, I'm researching my next dress. I give special attention to ruching; pleating, gauging, laces, trims and buttons - everything that gives the "Victorian" dress the appeal of that era. If you would like to have a wonderful Victorian style costume gown made by me, please contact me,

Sue McDonald is the proprietress of Madame's Mercantile; a web-based business that arose from the difficulty in finding all those important accessories needed to complete a period-correct Victorian outfit. Sue is an accomplished seamstress, with over 30 years of experience, and she is an avid fan of historical costuming. Sue and husband Dale first started dressing in Victorian attire in the early 80's. Sue is a founding member of The Boots and Bustles Old West Social Club, and also has memberships in The Elks Opera House Guild, The Reenactment Guild of America (RGA), and the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS). She also makes custom items for her clients and hand-dyes many of her own feathers and embellishments. Sue is a writer, who has been published in the Wild West Gazette, Working Woman, and Somerset Studio, among others. She also writes articles of interest to the Victorian re-enactment community for Bustledress Bustledress (www.Bustledress.com), Recollections (www.recollections.biz) and her own site, Madame's Mercantile (www.madamesmercantile.com). Bustledress.com Victorian Style Dresses

Hello, I'm Claudette from Heritage Fashions on eBay... And I'm here onBustledress.com to make the most beautiful Victorian reproduction fashions for discerning ladies!

I've been a designer seamstress for 30 plus years, who turned a passion to wear Victorian fashions into a career to create for discriminating clients in theatre and historical societies in 5 countries.

It is a joy to replicate an elaborate silk and brocade dress from an 1880 fashion print, or a Victorian theme movie. What can compare to the swish of an elegant ensemble complete with corset, pantalettes, bustle petticoat, hat, parasol and gloves!

When I'm in costume, it feels like a walk through a time portal onto a street of today. I enjoy making gowns for others. Countless hours of labor and yards of luxury fabric bring compliments of appreciation from each garment's new owner. As a member of a Historical Society in Virginia, there are many occasions to plan a new Victorian fashion.

If YOU desire your own spell-binding, one-of-a-kind, custom designed Victorian bustle dress made especially for you........Join me in an exciting journey back in time. Send me an email, and let's get started!

As soon as I was able to balance myself in front of a milliner's mirror, I began trying on Edwardian hats with my mother-. A woman who believes a well-dressed woman NEVER left the house without one! Having tea parties and playing dress up was my greatest passion. Especially when it included my grandmother's Edwardian Gibson Girl hats with the whole birds on them. Truth be told, it's still my passion that fortunately, as a member of
"The Northern California Victorian Society"
I can still indulge my love and collecting of hats over the years. And I'm pleased to share them with you. Come indulge yourself in the finest of authentic and remade Edwardian hats available. Pour yourself a cup of tea, and get ready to turn some heads! I'm Kate, and this is my collection...

Hi, I worked as a Hollywood actress and stuntwoman in the 70's and 80's back when they wearing great costumes, and not CGI. You've probably seen me in many movies and not even realized it. I've since became a Master status costumer, and my hobby is recreating Hollywood costumes and creating my own original designs for competition. I was in the movie, "Login's Run" and own some of the original costumes besides many others, so I know quality costumes.

I'm part of the
"The Northern California Victorian Society"
The items you find from me here you know will be special and unique...Qeldas qeldas@earthlink.net -
