Beautiful Turkey Red Turkish 1880's Fancy or ball Mule Pumps

This is from the Northern part of Califorina. This pair is really wonderful- a pair of Turkish? 1880's (I believe) fancy or ball mule pumps. These shoes are hard and substantial throughout to the touch- not a soft dancing slipper. The outer fabric on the balls of the feet is a Turkey red, fine pile cotton velveteen, embroidered with (age blackened) wrapped silver thread (in a few areas you can see it was silvery.) and this is outlined in gold tambour thread bouillon tinsel. The insoles and heels are made of a lovely, raspberry, longer pile silk panne' velvet. Toes have circles of sewing as a design feature. Burgundy leather soles nailed on. Extremely great, wearable condition- not fragile at all.
Condition:
Slight wear to the panne' insoles from wearing, Slight wear areas to the tarnished silver- a few spots missing of that and the gold tinsel has some missing outlines, but they are not many and extremely hard to notice even up close as the patterns are so intricate. Light wear on the soles and heel plates. Size 8 average- narrow. Extraordinary condition.
