Edwardian to 1920s 18th Century Lady Portrait Antique Broach SALE 20 Percent off of listed Price Lynne Lowe All

Vintage Jewelry
This is an absolutely gorgeous depiction of a large, 18th Century style woman Portrait broach (of whom which I believe to be a romanticized depiction of Madam Pompadour.). 3/4 side view of the very lovely lady with dreamy doe eyes and soft smile, a curl draped upon her "gas" green silk dress shoulder.
The broach edges containing the lady's portrait are deeply bezeled within a handmade, coppery finish metal holder with an old "C" clamp. An excellent example of better costume jewelry dated from the Edwardian period to the 1920's. The waxy-feeling celluloid process used in the portrait appears to give a muted, very soft, antique sepia type coloring without harsh printed edges. The lady's gentle portrait almost has the appearance of being painted, but it is not. This is a very special antique broach piece as it is such an attractive subject, plus a hard-to-find larger size than normally found. This antique broach could easily be worn in a Victorian costume, 18th century costume, Victorian Bustle dress, Victorian reenactment, or Dicken's Fair. Condition:
Excellent condition. There is a slight/very small, age-related "wave" dimple (small as you can see from photos shown from different angles with flash). Has a faint and miniscule surface scratch blemish that may possibly be able to be buffed away- most people wouldn't even notice this. Very slight copper type oxidation at both bases of "C" clamp. Slight and minor discolorations on back, tiny pinhead sized dot on front. (We are purists and don't alter the way an item comes to us. We allow the new owner to have a choice to have age-related patinas or not.)
