Outstanding seamstress Claudette Donat will make the perfect Civil War ladies beautiful set of 100 percent cotton undersleeves to wear with your fancy day dress (to be worn under the full Pagoda sleeves or bishop sleeves). This listing is for ONE set of undersleeves.
Victorian women worked at perfecting needlework skills on accessory items to adorn dresses and to change the look of a gown. Since the fabric of dresses and bodices were done in sumptuous fabrics as velvets, silks and brocades the undersleeves were made to be washed separately. These undersleeves are made to fit on the arm under a wider Dolman sleeve bodice to keep soil free as they are made of 100 percent cotton cream muslim and washable. The cuff is 1.5" wide and close at the wrist with two brilliant faux pearl round buttons. This desined cutwork embroidery undersleeves fit to the upper arm and have elastic top fit to be removed at will and exchanged for other colors or styles in a wardrobe. The design is a favorite of that time in a Hummingbird flight in thread colors of blue, and red and green on the plants around the design. This is "cutwork," so details of the motif have been cut out for an interesting effect. While modern sewing methods were used, you will enjoy the pretty cutwork of the bird in flight. All seams are serged and finished. The color is cream cotton and the size fit most.

International Shipments
We will ship within 3 days receipt of payment. Custom procedures in buyers' country may cause delay in delivery- items not considered lost until 30 days after sending. Duties and taxes may be charged on certain items and this charge can vary by country- be aware that customs imposed duties can be 25-35 percent of your purchase amount (insured amount= declared amount). Buyers are responsible for any customers fees, duties and taxes from their country. Items sent overseas are sent by Global Express, which to many countries has full- partial tracking and $100. automatic insurance. More insurance can be purchased. About a one week delivery time frame to most areas. We do not ship our items considered prohibited (from customs) to countries (like Italy) or, any other countries that do not allow for fabrics, jewelry, etc. to be sent to that country.
