This is your chance to have a fabulous Victorian Bustle Costume custom made by stellar Victorian seamstress, Christine Hall!Note by Christine:"Mina Harker's "Green Walking Gown" with the "triangle" pleated back has lots of details, with embroidery and intricate pleating which require time and patience (smile). This walking gown will be made of three shades of slightly iridescent green silk taffeta, and ivory silk taffeta. All together this bustle walking gown costume takes aprox. 32 yards of silk taffeta to make this gown- depending on width of material available and size of the dress made! The pleated back takes just an amazing amount of fabric alone.I do (in addition) offer a "budget" version of this bustle outfit too, if that might be of interest. The underskirt skirt will not have the pleats like the original movie gown and no embroidery. The pleated back will still be there and the cream inlay at the front will also be there. The walking dress will be made in other fabrics than silk. So, it will still retain the look and feel of the Mina walking dress, but some details have been omitted. This budget version of Mina's walking outfit is $900, and will be made out of a synthetic material rather than silk, if you prefer silk taffeta instead (but with the budget version with less additions added) an additional $350 will be added to the total." Description: Fitted light green silk taffeta bodice with sharply puffed shoulders, darker green collar with embroidery, embroidered lapels that partially open to reveal a curtain of gathered white insert which ends with intricate folds. Matching pointed cuffs.
