This is your chance to have a fabulous 1880's Bustle dress costume made especially to your measurements by stellar Victorian seamstress, Christine Hall!
Note by Christine:"This absolutely stunning late Victorian dress is made of beautiful slate blue iridescent taffeta, slate blue and black brocade, and black rose brocade. Venice lace and embroidered net is adorning the dress in various places.
You will be able to choose the color of the overskirt and bodice with the brocade inlay. The black rose brocade underskirt will be the same, but you get to switch the color of the slate blue to any colored taffeta you prefer!!!"
Description:The bodice has a square neckline with a brocade vest inlay. The neckline has been trimmed with an ivory embroidered net lace and a taffeta collar. Black gimp trim runs down the front on each side of the vest inlay. The bodice buttons closes with 11 faux pearl and silver buttons down to an attractive point. The slate blue 3/4 length sleeves have been beautifully trimmed with a knife pleated black rose brocade cuff over ivory embroidered net lace and slate blue bows. The back of the bodice has a beautiful black applique.' The bodice is fully lined, and underlined entirely with 100 percent cotton.
The underskirt is made entirely of black rose brocade, trimmed with a slate blue uniquely pleated trim at the hem. The pleating is taken from an original Victorian dress and is just beautiful and unusual, see close-up! The skirt closes at the side with hooks and eyes. The stunning slate blue overskirt has a very attractive front apron which has been adorned with a net lace applique at the center front point. The bustled back is slightly pointed, and the entire hem of the overskirt has been trimmed with black Venetian lace. The overskirt has ties at the underneath back to adjust the back bustle, and it closes at the center back with hook and eye.
