SASS Titanic era Edwardian Dress Costume Custom made for you by Alethea Sayers
Have an Titanic-era Edwardian Dress Costume dress or Edwardian ensemble especially custom made for you by outstanding seamstress Alethea Sayers! You will feel transported in time for those special outings! Alethea has made many Titanic era and Edwardian themed gowns, some featured on novels by famous authors, painted artworks, and has the ability to faithfully reproduce famous antique gowns to make you that very special gown you've been dreaming of!
Making custom Edwardian costume gowns, or gowns from other eras can range in date from the Elizabethian era, the Victorian bustle gown to Edwardian. Depending on the complexity of the project, fabrics to be used (silks, velvets and the like obviously will cost more) fancy trims and other factors such as ornate pleats, etc.... she'll disscuss with you before beginning your project, so price will depend upon desired result.
Alethea never charges a shipping handling fee, and only charges her shipping cost. Her overseas shipping rate is very reasonable, and an item can be delivered within 5 working days. Overseas buyers, please contact Alethea for International shipping costs.
Condition:
A short note on the construction of Alethea's dresses... She always tries to maintain an accurate representation of whatever period she is reproducing. All of her seams are pinked to prevent unraveling. She never use Velcro, fabric glue or zippers on the garments and proper interfacing is always used in the waistbands and collars to prevent rolling. She also adjusts her patterns slightly to allow for more upper arm comfort than original patterns of this period provide. If a fabric easily unravels, she flat lines each piece with a zig-zag stitch.
