1890s Town Dress, Traveling Mantle Cape and AUTHENTIC BONNET.A lovely town toilette, made of a pale silk satin of light sage green, with black taffeta, vintage laces and authentic bonnet. This ensemble will make you feel transported in time for those special outings! BODICE: Is lined with cotton muslin, and made of the pale green fabric. The bodice features a square cut neckline with black applique trim that has been hand sewn on. The sleeves have vintage ecru lace cuffs with black beaded appliques. The bodice closes with hook and eye in the front. CAPE:is a small shoulder cape of black taffeta, lined with black cotton and has a large stand up collar. The collar on the inside is of the pale green fabric, which has been gathered, and has a wired frame to hold its shape. On the back is an insert of the green fabric that has been trimmed with vintage tatting. At the front are two large vintage black jet-beaded appliques that have been hand sewn on. HAT/BONNET: is an authentic hat from the 1880s that is made of black velvet and silk. The fabric has been gathered over a wire frame and is in excellent shape. At the front is a small vintage black ostrich plume and a black jet-beaded applique. Unlike many vintage hats, this one actually fits a modern day sized head! COLLAR/BIB: Is made of a vintage embroidered net fabric that is lined in white china silk and has a small stand up collar. There is some bulk to this outfit, which is reflected in the shipping cost of $22.00 USD I never charge a handling fee and only charge my shipping cost. Condition:
 A short note on the construction of my dresses... I always try to maintain an accurate representation of whatever period I am reproducing. All of my seams are pinked to prevent unraveling. I never use Velcro, fabric glue or zippers on the garments and proper interfacing is always used in the waistbands and collars to prevent rolling. I also adjust my patterns slightly to allow for more upper arm comfort than original patterns of this period provide. If a fabric easily unravels, I flat line each piece with a zig-zag stitch.
