USA Entry 25.) Dress: Eugenia Imperial Natural Form Ball Gown
Category: Best Ball Gown in the World
Category: Most Beautiful Bustle Dress in the World
Seamstress: Linda E. Charron at: FrocksofAges.com

"This Ball Gown was the first of the Imperial Gowns that I offer on my web site, "Frocks of Ages." The reason that it is an "Imperial" is because of the extras that comprise the gown. In this case, the gown features a stunningly beautiful French embroidered lace that came with organza ribbon flowers. To further enrich the lace, I added real aquamarine briolettes, freshwater peals and seed beading. The base fabric of the gown is a pale blue floral embossed Bengaline faille. The lines are classic Natural Form. I named this gown for my mother, Eugenia." Linda E. Charron

USA Entry 24.) Dress: Cranberry and Plum Polonaise Day Bustle Dress
Category: Best Day BUSTLE DRESS in the World
Seamstress: J.H.

"It's a joy to wear this out in warmer months. It was adapted from Truly Victorian's 1873 Polonaise and altered to make it more suit-like. The gown is striped silk with velvet accents and the skirt twill- together they make such a lively color combination. I made it in a week.." JH

USA Entry 23.) Dress: Early Victorian Silk Bustle Ball Gown with Overskirt Skirt Swags
Category: Best OTHER FREESTYLE Bustle Dress
Category: Best Victorian Ball Gown
Seamstress: Lady Caroline at: www.LadyCarolyn.com

"I was able to buy only 4 yards of this blue raw silk wanted to make a ball gown. I used Truly Victorian 240 ball gown skirt pattern and Truly Victorian 442 ball gown top pattern. I used every scrap of material, in fact under the top overskirt is blue cotton lining with the blue silk attached to get the bottom ruffle. There was not enough to get a ruffle on the top, hence the trim was used. This turned out to be one of my favorite ball gowns." Lady Caroline

Category: Best ALTERNATE Steampunk Neo Victorian or Gothic BUSTLE DRESS

Photo 3.) Additional Plate: A piece of real-world inspiration. Princess Margaret of Hesse wearing a feminine version of a hussar uniform.

"I confess- I love wearing theatrical things. I used Truly Victorian's French vest bodice for the jacket, and pieced the hem striping by hand. I made everything except for the boots and gauntlets- with which I had help from a friend. There's 26 yards of trim and 100 buttons in all." JH

USA Entry 21.) Dress: Ribbon Bengaline Wedding Gown
Category: Best OTHER FREESTYLE Bustle Dress in the World
Category: Most Beautiful Bustle Dress in the World
Seamstress: Linda E. Charron at: FrocksofAges.com

"I just completed this Bridal Gown and shipped it out to a young lady Marine who has just return from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. We have been planning this gown since before her tour of duty and she will be marrying in July. This 3 piece NF Bridal Gown is make of Ivory Bengaline Moire' and Ivory Organza. The lines of the gown are classic, simple and unfussy. I choice a warm colour pallet of off-white, antique rose, pale pink and peach for the flowers. I made the flowers out of silk ribbon and wired ribbon and hand embroidered the lace with silk ribbon to make the buds on the bodice and the fan. The fan is made of the same lace used throughout the gown. The butterfly train is adorned with silk flower and ribbon. This gown took about 8 weeks to make." Linda E. Charron
