USA Entry 39.) Dress: Green-Gray-Pink Victorian Dress Bustle GownCategory: USA Best Victorian Day DressBasque Bodice was reproduced from the November 23rd, 1872 issue of Harper's Bazaar Magazine. The Apron and Pannier Skirt pattern was drafted from an actual Victorian skirt that was featured in an 1870's issue of Demorest Monthly Magazine. I used a Changeable Silk Taffeta in a shade of Sage Green, shot with Rose Petal Pink. The Warp threads are a Sage Green color, and the Weft threads are a light Pink color. The Weft (Pink) threads are only slightly detectable with a Soft Pink hue that is seen with changes in lighting and movement. Trimmings are Self Fabric, Pink embroidered Organza Lace, and several Taffeta fabric covered buttons. Miss Lisa
