This is your chance to have a fabulous Victorian Bustle Costume custom made by stellar Victorian seamstress, Christine Hall!Note by Christine:"This Bustle gown costume is one of my favorite gowns from Bram Stoker's Dracula Movie. The Bustle Gown takes aprox. 150 plus hours to make and requires 26-30 yards of silk taffeta, plus about 13 yards of lining, depending on size and length of the dress. This Bustle dress has lots of details... such as: hand-folded leaves, which each will be hand sewn onto the dress, lots of pleating (on the under skirt) which is also tacked down, and sewn by hand, plus, gathered fabrics, etc. This bustle outfit is not an easy dress to make, as it needs to be hand draped onto a dress form with the right measurements and then sewn together, rather than using traditional patterns.I do (in addition) offer a "budget" version of this dress too if that might be of interest. This costume version only has ruffles at the hem (instead of the pleats over the whole skirt). The "leaves" around the neck will still be there, but, the gathering and big leaves on the overskirt at the back will not be there. This version will still have the look and feel of the red Mina dress but with some some of the details omitted. This version is $950, and will be made out of a synthetic material rather than silk, so, if you prefer silk taffeta instead (but with the budget version with less additions added) an additional $320 will be added to the butget price total." Description: Asymmetric, fitted red silk taffeta bodice with fitted shoulders. Gathered, long, pointed cuffs, hand made "leaves" trimming. Intricately pleated/ draped asymmetric silk underskirt, pleated swept side overskirt, and bustle area of skirt is drape swagged to create an increased, enlargening, waterfall, on back with intricate gathering, hand sewn leaves and careful ruching.
