Lovely 1885 Victorian Bustle costume of Moss green, READY TO WEAR and be worn at that Victorian event!
This is an elegant moss and olive green bustle dress made with three complimentary materials. The Victorian style bodice is constructed of a patterned jacquard; shiny satin and embellished with green braid, black appliqued' lace and 7 gold decorative Victorian style buttons. The back of the Victorian bodice has a pleated peplum that fits nicely over the "bustle" of the Victorian fashion skirt. The sleeves fit close down to the elbow, with attached bell shaped cuffs trimmed with black appliqued' lace.
Condition:
The skirt is constructed of a soft floral "peachskin" fabric with a satin bustle. The satin bustle is made with an extra "bustle support" of netting underlining and is bustled with black appliques'. The front of the Victorian skirt is draped with a satin apron trimmed with black fringe. The bottom of the skirt is trimmed with a row of ruching with two layers of ruffles. The waistband attaches with a skirt hook-and-eye and snaps. All seams are serged. Will included leftover material and trims for constructing a matching hat, purse, etc. Sorry, supportive undergarments are not included in this listing. New and unworn.
